The Pilot Line
A highly flexible, state-of-the-art battery pilot line that will accommodate all critical manufacturing stages— from electrode coating to cell assembly, formation, performance testing & benchmarking.
ECF Pilot Line Capabilities
-
Independent Anode and Cathode Electrode Coating Lines
Our pilot line utilizes fully independent anode and cathode coating systems, allowing parallel development and production without material cross-contamination. Each line includes dedicated slurry mixing, precision slot-die coating, in-line mass loading and thickness control, and multi-zone drying ovens. -
Our pilot line supports a wide range of pouch cell dimensions and electrode tab configurations to meet diverse prototype and application needs. Flexible tooling and modular assembly allow rapid iteration on cell size, aspect ratio, and tab placement, accommodating both single- and double sided tab formats.
We can produce cell capacities ranging from 5 Ah to 20 Ah, enabling fast development across early R&D samples, module-scale prototypes, and advanced performance validation builds. This adaptability ensures smooth transition from concept cells to application-specific pouch designs, supporting e-mobility, consumer electronics, and grid-scale proof-of-concept systems.
-
Our pilot line is engineered to support cylindrical cell development in 18650 and 21700 formats, enabling rapid prototyping and performance validation aligned with industry-standard manufacturing. Flexible electrode winding, precision welding, and modular assembly systems allow fast iteration on electrode designs, electrode loading, and safety features.
At ECF, we are not just building better batteries, we’re building the capabilities that make electrochemical innovation possible.
